Superb Regency Rosewood English Work Table dating to Circa 1830. This piece is unsigned but clearly the work of Gillows of Lancaster and similar to designs in their sketch and estimate books for the 1820/1830. It is of rectangular outline with a hinged lid which is scalloped edged and opens to reveal a velvet upholstered interior above a panel frieze. The piece is raised on a carved baluster column which is ornately decorated and all supported on a quodroform platform base with scroll toes and original castors
